Hello and welcome!

I’m Mandy Thompson, a first generation British Asian with a hint of East African heritage. I come from a big, food obsessed family and have enjoyed cooking on a personal level since I can remember.

Originally from a design background I decided to leap into the world of food styling a few years ago and have not looked back. What I love is being able to combine my design and creative knowledge to help me with styling, composition and creation.

Pleased to be shortlisted in the Food Stylist category for the prestigious Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2023.

5 things people don’t know about me:

• My nickname is bones on account of me being a bit accident prone when I was young

• If I had to pick sweet or savoury, I’d go for savoury

• I once met the real Kahl Drogo (Game of Thrones), played by Jason Momoa and felt very, very short (and blushed)

• I am a bit of a chilli addict - okay so maybe some people already know about that?! 

• I love to travel, and of course eat, with my favourite foodie destinations being Kenya, Italy and Malaysia
